About Us
Dr.Nagvekar Charitable Trust Kankavli Dist Sindhudurg started in January 2007 with 6 cows been bred and gradually increased to 30 and at present more than 74 abondened cows, bulls and calves are sheltered at Gokul Goshala spread over 11 acres at Tondavli, Taluka Kankavli Dist Sindhudurg.
Dr.Nagvekar Charitable Trust Kankavli Dist Sindhudurg Gokul Goshala’s main purpose is to provide shelter, nurturing and caring environment for the cows that are abandoned or gone stray because they are no longer fit to produce milk or work.
In Hindu religion cow is considered holy animal due to divine qualities like simplicity, purity and innocence. Therefore, the goshala is considered as a holy place by people who respect cows in Hinduism.
